Sunsets, Seasons, and the Sacred Rhythm of Life

Nothing’s Going Anywhere, Everything’s Just Moving!
I’ve spent countless evenings watching the sun dip into the horizon here in Goa — golden, fiery, and breathtaking. And every time, I remind myself: It’s not the sun that’s going down. It’s the Earth that’s moving.
Duhh, right?
But that simple truth hits differently when you actually pause to feel it. Nothing is going anywhere. Everything is moving — in its own rhythm, in its own timing.
Earth is constantly spinning, shifting, evolving… and yet, it doesn’t force or resist. It allows. Its seasons change. Its cycles flow. It transforms without apology.
And just like Earth, we too have our own rhythms. In fact, different parts of our lives can hold entirely different paces at different times. Our relationships, creativity, healing, abundance, rest — they all dance to their own unique beats.
But here’s where I often find myself tangled: in the comfort of old patterns.
Even when I know something is shifting, I catch myself clinging to what once felt good, inspiring, or safe. I hold on to people, routines, energies… simply because they once uplifted me.
And yet, when I hold on too long, what once felt light begins to feel heavy.
The energy turns clingy.
The comfort turns into resistance.
The aliveness dulls into lack.
It's in these moments I gently remind myself:
Nothing in nature stays the same — not the moon, not the tides, not even our breaths.
If Earth started functioning like Mars, it wouldn’t be Earth anymore. And if we try to live by someone else’s rhythm or society’s format of “how life should look,” we lose the unique intelligence of our own unfolding.
Each moment of our life is utterly unique.
Each breath is different from the last.
So why are we trying to force life into the same template?
What has helped me immensely is setting a clear intention — a self-reminder to soften.
To stop controlling.
To stop gripping.
To stop manipulating energy to fit my timelines.
Instead, I’m learning to live more intuitively — to ask my heart, not my fear, what’s true for me today.
To be conscious of what’s naturally rising and falling.
To let myself evolve without needing to explain, justify, or cling.
One evening, sitting by the sea, I felt this truth drop deep into my being:
I’m not behind. I’m not lost.
I’m just moving at my own sacred pace.
So are you.
The next time you feel stuck or overwhelmed, try this:
Step outside.
Place your bare feet on the Earth.
Close your eyes.
Breathe with mother Earth.
And remember — everything is moving. And so are you.
The sun isn’t rushing to set.
The moon isn’t anxious to rise.
You are not late.
You are not wrong.
You are simply unfolding — in rhythm, in magic, in divine timing.
Let this be our prayer:
To live life like the Earth — flowing, free, and fully in tune with our unique, ever-changing rhythm.
